Better Than the Photo Shows

What I got is much better than the photo. First, the kit includes rubber spike covers which are not in the photo. Second, the spike is black anodized aluminum, not unpainted as shown. Most importantly, the spikes shown have to be removed to install the baskets. The spikes I received take the baskets without having to unscrew them. I expect the anodized coating will scratch off with use, but function likely will not be affected.

Should this be used on a sandy beach? If so, which basket would be best on sand?
Field Optics Research Large Tripod Spike & Basket Kit will work well at a sandy beach. If it is very soft sand the snow basket will work well. If it is harder sand then the mud basket will work better.
