Styled in an open-pore natural finish, the Ibanez Artwood Series AW152CE is a dreadnought 12-string acoustic/electric guitar. The instrument's large, single-cutaway body delivers a powerful, expansive, and balanced acoustic sound. Unplugged or amplified, the instrument is well suited for solo performance or playing with a full band.
The AW152CE features a solid Sitka spruce top, okoume back and sides, and a 25.6" scale nyatoh neck. You'll find an ovangkol fingerboard with 20 frets as well as chrome die-cast tuners in the headstock. An ovangkol bridge affixes strings to the body. The instrument boasts ornamental touches such as a white dot inlay and a laser-engraved soundhole rosette.
For electronics, the guitar is equipped with an Ibanez T-Bar undersaddle pickup and an Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp, which includes controls for volume, treble, and bass, along with an onboard tuner. This preamp system gives you both the standard 1/4" output and an XLR jack that obviates the need for a separate DI box.
