Connect your mono or stereo keyboard, or a guitar and bass directly to a single mic preamp with the On-Stage DB1100 active DI box. Thanks to a selectable stereo-to-mono summing function, it adapts up to two high-impedance, instrument-level 1/4" TS inputs to one low-impedance, mic-level XLR output. By converting your signal from unbalanced to balanced, it allows longer cable runs, less noise, and proper compatibility with mic inputs.
When used as a standard DI box (merge mode off), the right 1/4" input serves as a thru jack for an unbalanced pass-through to an instrument amplifier or pedalboard. Flip the -15 dB pad switch to prevent distortion when accepting high-output sources, and utilize the low-cut switch to reduce overpowering low frequencies. Switchable polarity ensures optimal absolute phase even if your mic preamp lacks a similar option.
A ground-lift switch is provided to rid your signal of hum from ground loops. Since the DB1100 is a phantom-powered direct box, no batteries, power cables, or AC adapters are required. It features a durable metal housing with protective nylon bumpers, making it equally well suited for constant use in the studio, on stage, or at home.
