picked this up as an ultra portable, tabletop microphone holder (ie: didn't want something with a big heavy base) - this works great.

This stand feels very cheap, it will not stand up to moderate use, I'm sure. I need to tighten a few of the screws before even using it the first time. Would not purchase again. There are other relatively inexpensive portable stands that are of better quality.
