The fit is excellent. The execution is marginal. First there are no doors on the bottom to access the battery and SD card without removing this protecter. I can live with that. You do need a coin or other object to unscrew this protecter. That's a massive inconvenience. So overall I grudgingly recommend this despite the flaws.

Does the Q2 protector case have a bottom that opens to access the battery and/or memory card, or is one sealed bottom on the case?
No. There is no access on the bottom of the case for either the battery or SD card. You have to remove the case to access these two areas. The bottom is solid leather with the thumbscrew in the middle to secure it to the tripod socket on the bottom of the camera.

No. You would need to remove the protector when using a tripod because the thumbscrew on the bottom of the protector does not have a provision to screw a tripod into it.

Not correct. You can use the protector with the thumb support. It will not interfere with the protector as it was designed to use it mind.
