This Two-Section Wind-Up Stand from Kupo is a stainless steel crank stand designed for single-user operation. Kupo KS400812 Overview

This Two-Section Wind-Up Stand from Kupo is a stainless steel crank stand designed for single-user operation. The geared column and crank provide mechanically assisted lift that allows you to lift equipment weighing as much as 99 lb to heights up to 96.5" using only one hand. For safety, this stand features a built-in self-locking mechanism which keeps the center column from descending unexpectedly, and it has a wide footprint of 50.4". In addition, a leveling leg is included to help you make sure your stand is even before hoisting your equipment into the air.

In preparation for transportation, this stand collapses to a folded length of 63" and the crank handle folds to make the stand more compact. Furthermore, its 39.38 lb weight makes this Wind Up Stand ideal for mobile applications.

Very Sturdy And Well Built. Raises And Lowers Very Smoothly With A Locking Feature To Prevent Unintentional Descent. That Seems Unnecessary With A Worm Wheel And Gear That Can't Be Back Driven By The Load - But It's There. No Baby Pin - I Use A Receiver To Baby Pin Converter When Needed. I Installed The Manfrotto Wheel Set BH #MA104G (rated For 100 Kilograms) Because The Kupo Wheels Are Slightly Smaller And Not Rated For The Full Load Capacity Of The Stand. 5 Years Ago I Purchased The Equivalent Two Section Wind-up Stand From Manfrotto. The Manfrotto Has Increased In Price By 50% So I Went With The Kupo Equivalent For My Second Wind-up Stand. The Kupo Is Very Similar (appears To Be Almost A Copy) Of The Manfrotto. Similar Weight, Footprint, And Height Capability. This Kupo Is A Little "looser" - Not Wobbly, But Not Built To The Same Tolerance As The Manfrotto. Fit And Finish Are Close But Not The Same. The Kupo Does The Job And Is An Exceptional Value Considering The "tariff" Induced Price Increases. Handles Well With The Manfrotto Wheel Set. I'm Sure The Kupo With Outlast Me!

It appears these wheels won't support the stand ...

It appears these wheels won't support the stand and boom (D650) let alone lights so are there any stronger BH #KUKS940912 ?

The wheels state their load capacity is 66Lb and stand itself is 40lb so 26lb left so putting on these wheels takes away more than half the load capacity. All I want is to use the boom with a para 133 and siros head. Those stands in link are far too large for my needs. Are there any other options?

What is the min working height? See collapsed length is 160cm but doesn't necessarily mean min working height with how the legs collapse

The minimum working height on the Kupo Two-Section Wind-Up Stand is approxemelty 135cm/53 inches.

Yes - the Manfrotto 104G wheels fit perfectly! They allow the user to load this Kupo stand to its max capacity of 99 pounds. They swivel and roll very smoothly.

Do you put sand bags on the bars that link the legs to the centre column or where do you put them / is it sturdy enough to not need any? If you do put them on those bars what sort of max weight should you use?

Yes, sand bags can be placed on the Kupo two-section wind-up stand on the center column or spreaders on legs.
