Featuring an optical resolution of 600 dpi for detailed image capture, the unit scans ID cards, receipts, letter-size sheets, and documents up to 8.5 x 72". Single page scanning is as fast as 5.5 seconds for letter-size paper, and for multi-page jobs it has a scan speed of 10 ppm at 300 dpi when working with 8.5 x 11" sheets of paper. With the included Nuance OCR software, you have the ability to create searchable PDFs and editable Word and Excel files, and automatic feeding mode allows you to feed multiple sheets into the scanner while combining multi-page scans into one file. For added convenience the ES-50 is powered by the included USB cable when connected to your computer, and no other battery or external power supply is required.
