The compact Basic Cage from Zacuto provides lightweight protection for your Sony Alpha a7 III, a7R III, or a9 camera. The cage features an Arca-Swiss style bottom plate compatible with the Zacuto Polaris 15mm LWS baseplate as well as select third-party systems. This basic cage has built-in, NATO-compatible Z-Rails on its top and left side for quick mounting of separately available handles. The right side of this "no-cage" cage extends just far enough to enable the use of both your camera's handgrip and the included padded hand strap.
This made-in-the-USA cage mounts securely on your camera via the bottom 1/4"-20 screw and side eyelet straps with the included mounting screws. It maintains full access to all controls, slots, and ports of your Sony a7 III, a7R III, or a9 camera. It also features an HDMI clamp to prevent cable disconnects, multiple 1/4"-20 accessory mounting threads, and a 1/4"-20 camera screw. Both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads are provided on the bottom for mounting on a tripod.
