I had a smile on my face when I opened the package. The pieces in the kit were nice and heavy. Great quality for the price. Today, I assembled the menace arm. I used two, 8 ft pieces of aluminum pipe. I'm very happy with the result.

Feels beefy. Fit my 1.5 pipe no problem.

Would I be able to use a 1-1/4" pipe or only a 1-1/2"?
The Kupo Pipe Boom Rig Kit works with a standard 1-1/2” schedule 40 pipe (48.3 mm). It will not work with a 1-1/4 pipe.

Where is the hook for the ratchet strap located? Is it the opposite side to the Junior receiver or the baby pin?
There are two hooks for the Ratchet strap on the Kupo Pipe Boom Rig Kit. The one you can not see in the photo is the middle top part just behind the top of the part.

What diameter pipe is this rated for? "Schedule 40" is a rating for the thickness, not the diameter.
!.5" refers to the nominal size. It will have an O.O. of 1.90" no matter the schedule. Schedule 40 Pipe has a wall thickness of .15" giving it an I.D. of 1.60"
Schedule 80 Pipe has a wall thickness of .20" giving it an I.D. of 1.50"
Forget looking for this at Home Depot or Lowes. What they have is inferior for this purpose, and not the specified size. Also do not confuse pipe for tubing.
