Yes, B&H # MEBSPEFM43T7 is the better option. The older model you asked about is for the Cinema Camera 2.5K MFT mount, which did not offer an electronic mount. With this newer listing you should be able to control the aperture from the camera body with the adapter.

This is designed for Blackmagic MFT Mount cameras with a Super 16mm sized sensor. A Super 16mm Sensor is smaller than the standard MFT sensor. This is only compatible with the Blackmagic Cameras with a Super 16mm Sensor like the original Pocket Cinema Camera or the Micro Cinema Camera.

You mean the Canon EF 24-105mm F/4L - yes I have exactly this combination and it works perfectly with the BMMCC. With the 0.58X speed booster, the BMMCC super 16 sensor now looks like an APS-C size sensor to the lens. You get great low-light performance, and the effective lens size is now like a 40-175mm (compared to the same lens on a full-frame camera like 5D MkIV). This is a great combination and very flexible lens used this way on the BMMCC.

I never used that foot. I just removed it and used the adaptor as-is. The bayonet mounts are sturdy - no issues even with 70-200 lens.
