Slate Digital Verbsuite Classics Complete Overview

Available for download, the Slate Digital VerbSuite Classics is a reverb plug-in that emulates many world-renowned digital hardware reverbs. It's suitable for use on all sorts of audio sources including vocals, guitars, drums, and more.

The plug-in is made in partnership with LiquidSonics, who developed proprietary FUSION IR processing used in modeling hardware reverbs. This technology is designed to emulate the evolving, modulating characteristics of hardware reverbs over time. Hundreds of presets are available in two places. You can click on the top window to access global presets, or click the Load Device button to show a device browser that opens algorithms in the style of many different hardware units.

Controls have been streamlined to foster an intuitive operation over the plug-in. Attack, predelay, chorus, width, and decay are on hand, as is a global mix knob for wet/dry balancing. An EQ section gives you three-knob control over lows, midrange, and trebles. With minimal tweaking, you can secure a sound that suits the material.

This plug-in is compatible with Mac and Windows platforms. It operates in AU, VST, and AAX formats.

Note:
This product requires that you have an iLok 2 or an iLok 3. iLok is available separately.
FG-480
This is a model of a reverb still in use. This reverb has several programs that share a distinct and classic sound due to the unit's modulation characteristics, which help it cut through the mix.
FG-2016
This emulation is modeled on an American reverb created in 1982. It's known for its realistic recreation of natural-sounding rooms.
FG-250
This is a model of the first ever digital reverb, built in Germany. The algorithm offers a thick tone that mixes into source material with ease.
FG-QRS
This is a model of a transparent digital verb, one known for having minimal digital artifacts. It's particularly suited to vocals.
FG-2000
This is an emulation of a rare Japanese-made reverb often utilized on drums.
FG-16X
This is a model of a microprocessor-controlled digital reverb from the early 80s, one popularized by the drum sound of Phil Collins. It has a smooth, lush tone.
FG-6000
This is a model of a modern Danish digital reverb that provides a realistic, smooth, and deep sound. It can work for small and large spaces alike.
FG-BM7
The BM7 reverb is a free expansion for VerbSuite Classics. It's available directly from LiquidSonics using public-domain Bricasti M7 Fusion-IRs, which capture one of the most venerated hardware reverbs. Unlike several static impulse response packs taken from this famous unit, the VerbSuite Classics Fusion-IR version aims to recreate the tone and character of the unit's modulation over time on whatever you run through it.
