The kit includes a 4 x 5.65" hard shade matte box, an expandable French flag, and adjustable side flaps to prevent flares. An included rubber adapter ring and a 58 to 82mm threaded step-up ring enable you to add a wider range of filters and lens accessories. Also in the package is a dual-rod system with a quick-release plate for easy rig expansion.
The MB4169H-2M Hard Shade Matte Box from Cavision is an ABS plastic rod-mount matte box with a 130mm rear lens opening. It features one 360° rotation filter stage, one fixed filter stage, one 4 x 4" metal filter tray, plus one 4 x 5.65" metal filter tray in the stationary stage. A 130 to 85mm rubber step-down ring is included. A Cavision rod-mount bracket and top and side flags are sold separately. The rod-mount bracket is required.
The Cavision ARR1385 is an rubber adapter ring for MB4169H or MB413B series Matte Boxes; it adapts from a 130mm lens diameter stepping down to 85mm lens accessory.
This Cavision 58-82mm Step-Up Ring enables the use of 82mm threaded filters on lenses with 58mm filter threads. The 6mm depth enables this ring to fill the gap between the lens and the back of select rod-mounted matte boxes, helping to keep reflections from hitting your lens. The step-up ring has an 85mm outside diameter for use with clip-on matte boxes. It features a lightweight aluminum alloy construction with a black anodized finish.
The MBF-5PA Expandable Top Matte Box Flap from Cavision provides additional flare protection for the MB4169H and MB4510H series matte boxes. Easily mounted and adjusted, this flap has expandable sides and fine-tunable positioning. It can also be used to protect your lens front when not shooting.
The Cavision MBF4SA is a pair of side flaps for both the 4x4 and 4x4.45 matte boxes. The side flaps increase the ability of the matte box to block unwanted light, preventing a multitude of optical anomalies, such as lens flares.
The Rod System with Quick Release Plate from Cavision allows you to mount a Mini DV camcorder in a forward position, or a small DSLR camera with a short lens in a reversed position. The quick release plate has a locating pin for stabilizing your camera. This system incorporates two 15mm carbon fiber rods and a height-adjustable front bracket for mounting an optional matte box. There are 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for mounting the system to a tripod.
