ChargeWorx Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Adapter (White, 3")

Just a basic connection to your device

I purchased 3 of these for my 3 Apple headphones (as the Apple brand is no longer available). Unfortunately, the ChargeWorx lightning/headphone adapter merely connects the audio for music and phone calls. It does not seem to connect the headphone's volume control, nor does it allow you to answer the phone via the control on the headphone cord. It does allow you to turn off music or podcasts via the cord control, however, it does not allow you to turn the audio back on via the cord switch. If you can find the Apple brand adapter, purchase that instead. Perhaps, there are other off-brand adapters that make a 'complete' connection between the headphone and the iPhone. Also, I switched off the adapters on all three of my headphones; all combinations yielded the same result so it was not a single defective product.
