Key Features
  • Replaces Standard Eyecup of the URSA
  • Also Fits Sony FS7 Eyecup
The Special Use Round Viewfinder Eyecushion for Blackmagic URSA, in blue fleece, from Bluestar, is designed to replace the standard rubber eyecup of the URSA camera. It fits tight around the actual eyepiece diopter. In this way, it puts your eye closer to the viewfinder display. The eyecushion's position is not affected by adjusting the diopter. This fleece version is made of 100% synthetic material and provides a high level of softness and comfort for cold weather while enhancing light blockage. The fluffy feel reduces the rate of heat transfer, making the material feel warmer in cold conditions.

Absolutely necessary for URSA Viewfinder

Note: I've only installed. I haven't used in the field yet. The stock rubber eyecup on for the Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder is notorious for falling off. Whether or not you end up losing it, this cushion is significantly more comfortable and is very snug on the viewfinder. The Bluestar tag (pictured on top of filter) is very helpful to installing on and removing from the viewfinder. Diopter is still adjustable, you just cannot read the measurements. Blocks out light completely in full sunlight. (better than rubber eyecup, in my opinion) You need to apply more pressure than with the eyecup to see the entire monitor.
