The Vaddio EasyUSB MicPOD I/O Interface with Two CeilingMIC Microphones is a complete audio conferencing solution for medium-size rooms where conserving table space is crucial. It includes the EasyUSB MicPOD I/O 4-channel microphone interface—equipped with four EasyMIC mic inputs, an AEC reference input, and four balanced line-level outputs, two CeilingMIC microphones with integrated echo cancellation, and all necessary cabling and accessories for proper installation.
The Vaddio EasyUSB MicPOD I/O Interface is based on Vaddio’s SmartMIC technology, a simple approach to adding live audio conferencing to room designs. As an interface between the EasyUSB Mics and any professional audio mixer, internal DSP and echo cancellation can be integrated into any manufacturer’s audio mixing system.
Each EasyUSB SmartMIC is equipped with an array of three electric condenser microphones positioned to form a 360° pickup pattern. This technology is based on the microphone’s ability to actively manage the room’s live audio for gain, gating, and echo cancellation. Once detected, the microphone adjusts and mixes down to a single output. Because the intelligence is inside the microphone, any mixer can now be used in a live collaboration application for audio conferencing and achieving optimal results.
The I/O interface device allows the connection of up to four SmartMICs, and because each input is effectively running three microphones on three different channels, users can technically run 12 microphones all with independent echo cancellation and internal DSP.
The white CeilingMIC Microphone from Vaddio is a ceiling-mounted microphone with a frequency response of 100 Hz to 16 kHz. It is designed to eliminate table clutter and provides a full 360° pickup coverage. This microphone supports up to 100' cable distance from the interface box to the connected device via Cat 5 cable and a drop-down cable length of up to 15'. A silicone split strain relief boot, a 3' Cat 5 cable, a CeilingMIC interface box, a cable clamp grommet, two ceiling trim ring plates with mounting screws, and a ceiling tile brace are included.
