These are made of cheap plastic that feels like you are going to snap it at anytime. They mount to the reflector that comes with the AD400 heads can can come off too easily. I would try to move the barndoors and they would fall off. If you are only using them inside and don't need something very sturdy the price is right for these
This is the perfect side for a specialty need that I have with my interiors photography. It allow me to flash inside lampshades to give the appearance of being “on”, without relying on the color cast from standard light bulbs in the lamp. It has just the right amount of light spread to pull it off, and easily goes on and off the AD400.
