This 7.1"-long Long Camera Plate from Miller is designed to fit AIR, DS10, DS20, Compass, CompassX fluid heads. The sliding quick release plate features approximately 4.8" of travel.
The durable aluminum plate includes both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera mounting screws, and the top of the plate features two rubber strips that help protect your camera from scuffing while preventing it from rotating.

I own the Miller CX2 head and found that the regular plate did not allow for easy balancing of the camera on the VCT-14 plate. This long camera plate helped me to solve this issue, and I have no complaints so far.
With some set-ups, our Alexa Classic wouldn't quite balance up on the DS20 head with the standard plate; the longer plate gives us a little more positioning freedom and the better balancing takes some of the load off the counterweight mechanism.
