Functionally, this little mounting block is two hunks of solid, well-machined aluminum. Adds a nice mounting point to the CX 8 head I have for mounting a monitor. As with most things Miller, the price is absolutely ridiculous though. This probably cost them $20 at most.

It will not, this allows you to mount 6.6 pounds of accessories to the Mounting Block itself. It does not increase the overall capacity of the head.
