Capture instruments and ensembles in true stereo clarity with the Superlux S502, an ORTF stereo condenser microphone that uses exact spacing and angles to deliver auditory cues akin to human hearing. By employing two cardioid true condenser capsules in a fixed ORTF configuration, the S502 provides a balanced of stereo width and accurate imaging while minimizing setup time. Being 48V phantom powered, it requires no batteries or external PSU.
The 0.5" gold-sputtered diaphragms yield a 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, making the microphone well suited to a variety of sources such as drums, piano, acoustic stringed instruments, vocal groups, and more. The gold-plated 5-pin XLR output can be connected to standard XLR microphone cables via the supplied 5-pin XLR to dual 3-pin XLR cable. The S502 includes a stand mount, two windscreens, and a carrying case that houses the mic and its accessories.ORTF fixed-capsule arrangement for producing an evenly spread stereo image with good localization, depth, and detailed sound texture
