For attaching cameras or other gear tool-free, CAMVATE offers this 1/4"-20 Slotted D-Ring Captive Mounting Screw for use with most cages, cheese plates, and other supports. It can be secured by hand using the D-ring, but it also features a slotted flat head so you can secure it with flat head screwdrivers or most coins. From below the flat head, it measures 0.47" / 12mm.
