Combines Two Mic Signals
Kopul's CMCS-1 allows you to add two external microphones to your camera rig. Use two lavalier mics when you're recording dialogue or a lavalier and a camera-mountable microphone for recording a narrator with some ambient sound.
Wide Frequency Response
There's nothing like rich audio to enhance a video production. The wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response means the CMCS-1 can transmit detailed and accurate sound to your camera.
Simple to Use
The CMCS-1 couldn't be simpler to use. Its passive design means no power source is necessary. All you do is plug in your 3.5mm microphones, connect the included 3.5mm cable to your camera's audio input, and you're ready to record.
Sums Two Signals to Mono
When you select mono mode, the CMCS-1 combines both mic inputs to a mono signal and outputs this mono mix identically to two channels. Since the two mic signals are married together, you can tweak the level, EQ, or compression of the combined signals in postproduction.
Splits Two Signals
When you select stereo mode, the CMCS-1 splits the two signals and outputs them to separate
channels. This is ideal if you want the flexibility to alter the volume, EQ, compression, and panning on each individual track in postproduction. It's also a great option if you want to record a stereo soundscape.
Camera Mountable
The CMCS-1 attaches directly to your camera's hot/cold shoe. Weighing less than two ounces, the CMCS-1 is featherlight. You might not even know it's there.
Mounting Socket
The CMCS-1 is outfitted with a 1/4"-20 mounting socket so you can conveniently mount it on a tripod or onto your camera rig.
Includes Audio Cable
The CMCS-1 comes with a coiled 3.5mm TRS cable, which extends from eight to 30 inches. It features gold connector plating and OFC (oxygen-free copper) shielding to maintain the purity of your signal.

In the past I had to haul a two channel audio mixer in attached to my camera in order to have sound from two separate audio input sources. With this simple device I can plug both sources in and have one line outs and then connects and control the levels of audio in post production. Very simple to use and you don't even have to attach it to a shoe to get it to work. Very well thought out and designed product

I don’t believe that it does. It won’t work with a shotgun mic that runs off camera battery or just a lavalier mic. However it will work with wireless mic that has batteries in the receiver and battery powered shotgun mics.
