SMDV EINSTEIN ADAPTER Reviews

Best option for Einstein

I have several of these. This is pretty much the best ring insert available for Buff lights right now. It has a really short flange on it and no bowl, so shorter strobe tubes like the Einsteins can actually protrude properly inside the modifier. There used to be 152mm rings available from another company that I have several of, as well, but now all that’s left on the market are these 144mm inserts which fortunately fit a wide array of speed rings. They fit the Glow Parasnap, Chimera rings and others. See the Q&A where I posted dimensions. I should mention that SMDV’s customer service rep refused to provide dimensions for the ring when I asked - not sure why they were so evasive. I had to purchase one to verify that they’d fit my modifiers.
