The Celestron Narrow Dovetail Bar Kit allows you to replace the wider CGE (Losmandy-style) dovetail bar that comes with most Celestron 11" Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD optical tube assemblies (OTAs) with a narrow dovetail to allow them to be used on mounts that accept the narrower CG-5 (Vixen-style) bar. It comes with a pre-drilled mounting hole pattern that matches the OTA's mounting holes, along with a complete mounting hardware kit. The bar is made of aluminum and treated with a scratch-resistant anodized finish in the iconic Celestron orange color. The bar is 17.5" long and weighs just 15 ounces. To avoid damage to delicate gears and/or motors, check the payload capacity of your mount to make sure it can carry the weight of the OTA before installing it.

I bought this dovetail bar for my 11 EdgeHD to be able to connect the ASIAIR PLUS primarily. I may use the other room for future accessories in the future. Nicely made, quality metal. Meets my expectations.

Can this be installed on the top side of the 11" OTA (rather than replacing the button Lusmandy bar)?
Yes the narrow Dovetail Bar can be installed at the top side of the OTA, although mounting holes will need to be drilled in the front and rear tube cells. .

Can I put the original Lusmandy bar on the top side and attach it to the mount while using this bar instead for accessories?
You could but you may need to drill additional holes in the OTA
