I have heard that USB 3.1 hubs will only ...
I have heard that USB 3.1 hubs will only throughput 10Gb/sec who only one device (or is it one outlet) is connected? Otherwise it will revert to 5Gb/sec. Anyone know the actual answer? Or have experience with USB 3.1 hubs?
The 10Gb/s is the max of the connection to the computer. The speed is shared by all the devices or cards attached to the hub. Most cards and portable drives attached will not be able to hit the full 10Gb/s.
