From simple installation to easy maintenance, the Q24 Compact LTO Tape Library from Qualstar is designed to provide superior performance and value for backup, recovery, and archiving applications. Feature-rich and compact in a rackmountable 2 RU enclosure, the Q24 offers capacities up to 432 terabytes (native) and 1080 terabytes (compressed). The unit's built-in menu-driven operator control panel is intuitive and the integrated browser-based remote management interface (RMI) offers all the same functionality. This enables IT administrators to remotely configure, manage, and diagnose the library from anywhere in the world via the internet. All field-replaceable components—such as the tape drive, power supply, and controller board—are removable with standard tools. The Q24 data storage capacity can be expanded by upgrading to newer generation LTO technology.
Please note that the Q24 includes a half-height LTO-8 tape drive with an 8 Gb/s Fiber Channel interface that is compatible with LTO-8 and LTO-7 media. The Q24 will also support LTO-9 media when paired with a compatible tape drive.
