At first glance the Beoplay A9 4th Generation Wireless Speaker System from Bang & Olufsen looks like a piece of art or stylish home décor, which is the point, but inside B&O have crafted a powerful wireless speaker system for your home. The A9's 4th generation update adds two rear full-range drivers to take advantage of reflective acoustics for a larger sound stage. In total, the A9 has seven drivers that output 950 total watts of sound.
B&O have also incorporated Active Room Compensation technology that helps the A9 optimize sound quality based on the unique characteristics of the room, such as its shape, size, and the furniture inside. The A9 can now be operated via voice commands, utilizing Google Assistant technology. You can also control the A9 via Google Assistant on a smartphone, or with Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast (built-in), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), or Bluetooth 4.2 compatible devices.
The Beoplay A9 wireless speaker shows no sign of physical controls, but it can by physically controlled through its intuitive touch-sensitive interface. Swipe across the top to adjust volume, hold your hand on top to mute, tap right and left to skep tracks, or right in the center to access your last played source
Controlling the entire experience can be conveniently done with your smartphone and the Bang & Olufsen iOS or Android app. Play music via Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, DLNA -DMR, QPlay 2.0, or Bluetooth-compatible drives, or play music directly from the app via streaming services such as Deezer and TuneIn.
