Bright enough to shoot video at 400/800 iso and stop down to f8, when placed inside soft boxes and close enough to the subject for beauty shots or still life. It allows me to alternate still shooting with Godox stile strobes and video on the same set just by changing color temperature on Sony 7 series cameras. Since they tend to get hot by staying inside the soft box you have to find a way to aerate them by partially opening the sides of the soft box.

as stated, I like to have back ups of bulbs, just in case anything goes wrong. I am primarily a pet photographer, and sometimes you’ll get that very boisterous labrador that will knock down your entire set up this happened once, and it shattered a bulb. now, I keep two extras just in case

what is the Cri rating? Can i use is as a Video light with sk 400ii instead of buying separate sl60w?

The Godox Modeling Lamp for SK400II Flash Head (150W) is a tungsten quartz modeling light. It is not used to light a subject per se, but instead is for judging what the strobe might look like. The manufacturer does not list a CRI for this flash head. The color temperature is around 3000K, unlike the flash tube, which is 5400K (daylight).

Does this lamp cast a yellow color onto your model? Is there an LED modeling lamp alternative with a higher CRI that would fit into a Godox DP 400 III?
Asked by: Steven
This Godox modeling lamp tungsten-balanced, so using it as a main source would create a warmer color temperature in your image if the white balance in the camera is not set properly. Unfortunately, there is no LED equivalent that can be used with the SK400 II that would not interfere with the flash tube.

Would this bulb still cast a yellow tint to the subject if the shutter speed is fast enough that the final image is black with the modeling lamp on but the flash off?
Asked by: Steven
The Godox Modeling Lamp for SK400 II Flash Head would have no effect on the image if the shutter speed is fast enough. However, it's always best to make sure your white balance is adjusted properly to avoid any unwanted color casts.
