Velbon UT-3AR Travel Tripod

The reverse-folding, compact 11.6" UT-3AR Travel Tripod from Velbon is a 5-section support with aluminum legs that open by turning the leg counter-clockwise as you hold the rubber foot. At the same time, turning the twist-lock allows you to pull the 2-section rapid center column to the tripod's largest height of 53.4". Raising the central leg adjuster on top of the tripod's yoke allows you to vary the leg angles to 25, 45, and 75°. Splaying the legs out completely gives you a minimum height of 14.2" for closer-to-ground or low-angle shots. The ball head is Arca-type compatible and includes a QB-3AS quick release plate. The plate simply slides in and self-locks into place—a unique feature among ball heads currently on the market. The 1.7 lb tripod is capable of supporting cameras weighing 6.6 lb, making it a light but versatile travel companion.
