Gravity Stands MS 4322 HDB Overview

The black MS 4322 HDB Heavy-Duty Tripod Microphone Stand with 2-Point Telescoping Boom from Gravity Stands offers a smart feature set including weighted solid-steel legs that make it a dependable and sturdy choice for a wide variety of microphone setups.

The stand is constructed from rugged steel tubes with a black powder-coat finish and is height-adjustable from 3.4 to 5.5' using a twist grip. The grip features a nonslip soft-touch material that allows you to secure a tight adjustment without hurting your hands.

The telescoping boom extends up to 2.9' with a sturdy quick-release clamp made with reinforced plastic; a second adjustment joint is made with aluminum and offers two-point tilt positioning. The double-injected knobs on this joint cover the hard ABS and nylon components with a rubber-like plastic coating that makes them easy and comfortable to grip. An oversize grip on the locking nut at the end of the boom is also easy to use, you can actually get the end of your hand around the nut for more leverage.

The use of a heavy zinc die-cast leg collar with very specific manufacturing tolerances means the base components fit together perfectly, for a solid stand without the gaps that can create wiggling and wobbling. The heavy-duty solid-steel legs are designed to take a serious beating and securely support larger and heavier microphones.

Included is a set of 7 black coding rings in various sizes to help you easily identify mics on a crowded stage; additional sets of rings in various colors are available separately.

Gravity Stands MS 4322 HDB Reviews

Round Knobs Are Objectively Worse Than T-bars

The Stands Are Built Well But The Design Is Bad. I Bought Two Of These To Hold Ribbon Mics Over A Drum Set. The Dimensions Are Fine But The Round Tilter Knobs Can't Be Tightened Enough To Hold Up The Mics Reliably. Why They Didn't Give Us Some Leverage To Work With, Like Every Other Mic Stand On The Market, I Don't Know. The Telescoping Arm Can Be Tightened Enough But No Other Point On The Stand Can Be, Including The Height Adjustment (smooth, Round, Small, Not Enough Grip-ability Plus The Rubber Slips Right Before It's Tight Enough). If You Don't Need A Heavy Duty Stand, Buy A Much Cheaper Stand. If You Need A Heavy Duty Stand, Look Elsewhere. I Can't Recommend These For Anything. They Are Also Very Heavy But Topple Just As Easy As A Regular Boom Stand (but For 3x The Price).
