Sturdy and trustworthy for mounting items on speaker stands

One thing that's missing from all information about this item is that there's an extra black O ring that's included which is a replacement for a bright yellow ring already mounted on the outside of the tightening knob. I didn't know it was removable. there's no mention of this in the product description on the B & H site, nor in the included instruction sheet or the manufacturer's web site. Nothing. Customer service replied saying it was to replace the ring around the tightening knob. I suppose this accommodates those who find the yellow ring unacceptable. Note that there were no instructions per se included in the factory packaging. Although it doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure it out. I'm comforted by instructions or guidance in some form. This couldn't possibly be any more sturdy or better made. A little pricey but it's the only adapter of its kind i could find anywhere. I bought the one with the 3/8 make stud for mounting with an accessory tray on a speaker stand. There are more variations made than are available with B & H, so you can check out all the other types on the Gravity Stands website.

This item is very well built. The large round handle makes it easy to tighten onto a speaker mount.
