Audio-Technica BP893x Reviews

Much worse than the previous version

We had the previous BP193 for our pastor and have used it for the past several years. It was excellent, good speech intelligibility and unobtrusive at a low cost. It was getting worn out so we ordered this new version to replace it. Unfortunately this one is not moldable and is difficult to position properly, we could not get it to stay properly and are returning it after one use. The earpiece is a rather hard plastic that does not form to the ear well. We plan to replace it with a Countryman E6s which is also an excellent mic but more expensive which is an important consideration for a small church.
