Maximize the dynamic range and color output capabilities of a Panasonic Lumix S1 or S5 II camera with this Filmmaker Upgrade Software Key. This code unlocks a range of advanced video functions to further expand on the impressive video performance of a full-frame Lumix mirrorless camera.
Once installed, the S1 will be capable of using the V-Log L gamma and V-Gamut, which offers a flat color profile and a wider, approximately 15-stop dynamic range for greater control during post-production color grading. The addition of this gamma also allows users to better match color with existing VariCam systems that feature standard V-Log, as both profiles utilize the same characteristic curve and LUT. This upgrade also enables recording 4K60 video with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling to an external recorder over HDMI, as well as internal 4K30/24 video recording with 4:2:2 10-bit sampling on an S1 camera.
When installed on the S5 II camera, this software allows 12-bit RAW video recording to a compatible, external drive with resolutions up to 5.9K30.
This upgrade is intended for use with NTSC-area cameras only and can only be used on one camera. It is for use with the Lumix S1 and S5 II only and is not compatible with the Lumix S1R.
