IDP SMART-31D Overview

Generate personalized photo ID cards quickly and easily with the SMART-31D Dual-Sided ID Card Printer with Ethernet Connectivity from IDP. The printer offers double-sided printing of 124 YMCKOK, 156 YMCKO, and 720 monochrome cards per hour, with direct dye-sublimation printing for sharp images at resolutions of 300, 600, and 1200 dpi. The printer accepts standard CR-80 size cards with a thickness of 15-30 mil. The input hopper holds up to 80 cards and the front output hopper holds 25 cards. You can connect the printer to your computer via USB or Ethernet.

Note: this printer's ID card design software is compatible only with Windows operating systems. Mac OS and other operating systems require third-party software, such as CardPresso, for ID card design.

Great product for needing name badges on demand. The software is archaic, but workable. The color output is not great and can't figure out how to make the colors more vibrant. Used for employee badges with QR codes and being able to get a badge printed ASAP is great.

This was a very easy setup and very easy to figure out and use. We are making ID cards for our fire department and it does way more than we need. Definitely would recommend it to anyone.

Is there a Hologram Card that can be used? What about Microprint?

The IDP SMART-31D Double-Sided ID Card Printer could possibly use a Hologram laminate. Preprinted Hologram cards could work as well, depending on where the hologram is on the card.
