Samson AWXm Reviews

Best bang for the buck hands down.

I bought this reluctantly only because the government has seen fit to sell off bandwidths previously available to the public. My old Samson Airline 77 was working fine. The great thing about both of them is that there is no body pack.   Perfect if you are constantly switching horns. The AWX is an improvement in sound over the 77. I do like the form factor better and the AWX is hotter from what I can tell. Not a fan of the change in battery format. It was perfect just grabbing a fresh AA battery prior to a gig with the 77. Even if you forget to do that most every venue has a AA battery laying around if needed. No such luck with this proprietary battery. Furthermore the proprietary charging cable is terrible. Falls off way too easily. With the AWX you have to remember to charge up the unit prior to leaving the house as there is no way to charge and play at the same time AFAIK. I was willing to spend more for higher quality sound but none of the other wireless systems are as convenient as the Samson.

Asked by: Michael
Samson does not offer the HM60 microphone that is included with system as a separate part at this time. However, you can contact Samson directly to ask about getting replacement part for your wireless system and they should be able to help. You can reach customer service at Samson by phone at 516-870-7200. Their offices are based in Hicksville, New York and they are available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM EST.
