i use this for my e-bike handle bars when mounting a video camera to it. i was sugjesting that this be used to mount an action camera to a race car but i would first screw on a aircraft lock nut over top of the hand tightener and wrap everything in gaf tape just to be sure you do not loose it on the track.

This product is a newer version Manfrotto 492 ballhead with the round knob and the FULL size cardellini clamp. This product picture is the older version Manfrotto 492 ballhead with the tear drop knob and a MINI cardellini. Glad I chatted to checked before purchasing these.
