I needed a clamp that would hold up, these look to be the answer. A little pricier than some clamps, made out of cast aluminum (jaws and spinner nut) with an Acme type thread (much less prone to jamming than standard threads). Have to buy a 5/8-27 adapter to use with mic clip or gooseneck but that's OK, they aren't much. It's an investment, not an expense!
