What's the difference between this and the GI-21 ...

What's the difference between this and the GI-21 ink bottles? What would happen if I used this in an incompatible Pixma G3260?

The wrong ink would not fit your printer. The nozzles are "keyed" to prevent putting the wrong ink in the wrong printer as well as to prevent putting the wrong color into the wrong tank.
