Noga DG9002CA Overview

The 8.66" DG Cine Arm QR Set from Noga supports up to 8.8 lb and provides the convenience of 1/4"-20 quick release mounts on both ends of a 3-joint support arm. Each quick release adapter enables you to mount or detach an accessory or remove the arm from your rig without the bother of unscrewing the mount.

Similar in design to an interchangeable blade screwdriver, the AD4000 quick release adapters work by pulling back on a sleeve to quickly release your component. This rugged, lightweight support features arms of equal length for increased strength and resistance. An easy-to-use Kipp-style lever fastens all three joints simultaneously.

I went through about four low cost articulating arms that didn't last. I decided to purchase the Noga based on personal recommendations from colleagues in video production. That was two years ago and I LOVE this product. Solid construction and solid grip. I have had no issues at all and highly recommend it. I left off one 'star' in my review for the cost. It is a pricy product w/ similarly priced accessories. That being said, I've never had to buy another arm since purchasing this one.

No anti-twist makes this product virtually worthless.

The arm is strong, the quick release system is seamless, but the threads are absolute garbage. They strip almost instantaneously, and there is no anti-twist mechanism like locating pins, so it's impossible to tighten down properly. The rubber padding they have installed shreds at the first installation yet is too thick to gain a tight lock. Their quick-release adapters cost $81 a piece, so it costs a fortune to replace their shoddily made product parts. Avoid this product if you want a cine arm that actually works.
