Use this mic on an altar for Mass. It has performed very well so far. It has a long XLR cable which is good to have. It needs phantom power to operate.

Used three of these for a town meeting in a room with terrible acoustics. They worked great. One of the mics sounded a little bit metalic but I think that had to do with the soundboard we were using. In a small conference room, one mic covers the entire room. The only thing I wish they had was a mute toggle button but for the price they are very good for speech applications.

These boundary mics are just the thing when you have multiple speakers for instance. I put two on a tabletop while the presenters were using their computers and the audio was clear and crisp, with no hint of feedback. The most surprising aspect was that the mic rejected the ambient sounds like table pops and people using their keyboards, and didnt sacrifice vocal clarity... and the mic never clipped at all. The only possible shortcoming may be the snake that runs from the mic to the XLR connector... and that is that the cable appears to be thinner gauge that I would expect. I dont forsee any problems but I can see that becoming a possibility over time... however, I understand their reasoning as the mic will need to be placed on a tabletop, so a bigger cord may look out of place. Overall, very VERY impressed, and as an audiophile, that is a lofty compliment.
