Built like a tank!

Definitely the stoutest tripod ever!! I'm using it for the base for my jib. Rock solid, well built, but doggone heavy! You won't be backpacking with this guy! :) Heavy means super stable though. On a shoot awhile back, my jib collapsed my Manfrotto and my Sachtler. I had to find a reasonably-priced tripod that could take the abuse. This guy is built to take the weight - no problem! Highly recommend.

An interesting thing about the 150mm bowl on this tripod is that it's graduated half-way down with a 100mm second ring; I've used a Manfrotto 100mm ball head in there and it leveled. The drawback for this is that it limits the range of tilt for the head, but it DOES bypass the need for a 150mm to 100mm adapter. ALSO, the manufacturer made this to also accept a Mitchell head if using a longer tie-down bolt. Pretty clever if you're ready to take advantage of that.
