What is the crop factor with this adapter?
Asked by: Joel
The FotodioX Hasselblad V Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount GFX DLX Stretch adapter does not cause an innate crop, but compared to the native size of the Hasselbad V negative size (56x56mm) the GFX system (44x33mm), a Hasselblad V lens would have a 1.44x crop factor.

Do you get full frame coverage or is there a crop factor with this adaptor?
Asked by: Bill
There will be a crop factor when V-system lenses are used with the Fotodiox dlx Stretch V-to-G adapter. This is because the Fujifilm G-mount cameras use a much smaller sensor/format (44x33mm, 55mm diagonal) than the Hasselblad 6x6 format used in V-mount cameras like the Hasselblad 500-series (56x56mm, 79.2mm diagonal).

When shooting with a Hasselblad f2.8 lens and this adaptor, is there any loss of light? Is still a true f2.8?
Asked by: Bill
The Fotodiox dlx Stretch V-mount to G-mount adapter does not possess any optical elements which cause transmission loss, so you will not see a loss of light when the adapter is in use. In regards to the second part of your question, because the adapter possess a helicoid which alters effective focal length (stretching of shrinking of flange focal distance), the technical answer is that the effective aperture changes based on the focal length used at the time. However, this does not affect the exposure in any truly meaningful way. For all intents and purposes, it stays "a true f/2.8".
