JVC GY-HM250 Overview

Stream 4K video and enable a single operator to add lower-thirds and titles while recording, with no external character generator or switcher required, with the GY-HM250W UHD 4K Streaming Camcorder from JVC. The camera is designed to be easy for one nontechnical camera operator to set up and shoot, record, and stream video in any house of worship environment.

The GY-HM250W is a full-featured pro camcorder that features a 1/2.3" sensor, can stream video directly to the internet, and captures up to UHD 4K 4:2:2 video at 24/30p. This versatile camera offers you the option of recording UHD 4K at rates up to 150 Mb/s to SDXC Class 3 cards or up to 70 Mb/s to SDXC/SDHC Class 10 cards. In HD mode, custom graphics can be created and controlled via a browser-controlled tablet or smartphone. The GY-HM250W also comes with preinstalled color schemes and the ability to upload icons or logos to add a personalized look to your footage.

An integrated 12x zoom lens with a tele-macro function provides a 35mm equivalent focal range of 29.6 to 355mm, and a 24x dynamic zoom mode is available when recording in HD. For composing and monitoring video, the camcorder features a 3.5" LCD, a 0.24" viewfinder, and a smart focus assist function. Additional features include dual SDHC/SDXC card slots, two internal ND filters, and a built-in stereo microphone. Designed to fit into professional workflows, the JVC GY-HM250W camcorder comes with 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs and dual XLR audio inputs.

It also features optional IP streaming via separately available Wi-Fi, wired Ethernet, or 4G LTE adapters for Full HD streaming in the field directly from the camcorder and remote camera control and monitoring from your mobile device or laptop. Compatible with RTMP, Zixi, and Wowza streaming, the GY-HM250W offers one-click zeroconf configuration when using a common LAN between cameras. A firmware update brings Facebook Live integration to the camera, streamlining the connection process.

A top handle unit with two integrated XLR audio inputs, an SSL-JVC50 battery, and an AC adapter are included with the camera.

Note:
Streaming requires a connection and the use of a wireless LAN, wired Ethernet, or 4G LTE to USB 2.0 Type-A adapter.

Facebook Integration
Facebook Live integration simplifies and streamlines by adding it as a menu choice. This is available via a firmware upgrade, which is included with the camera and can be downloaded for free (network adapter required).

Connect a UHD 4K monitor using either the 3G-SDI or HDMI output and view the camera's live 4K signal
4:2:2 4K and Full HD Recording Options
Record broadcast-quality signals in 4:2:2 4K at 24 or 30p (no titles), or capture Full HD at 24 to 60p at rates up to 50 Mb/s (with or without titles).
