Excellent 27 2K

Worth every penny. Stick with 27 4K 60Hz for couple years, although they both are LG. After switch to this monitor, plan to replace them when budget allows. Very good for job with lots of pictures/animations, and playing video games occasionally. Everything just looks more comfortable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 1080p 165hz 5ms panel and this is leagues better. Works great with my set up, I’m thinking of getting 2 more for a triple monitor setup.

Still has a bug where it will disconnect when the computer turns off monitors. LG doesn’t care and refuses to fix despite complaints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the monitor for about a month and have had no issues to date. The picture looks very good and it has a very nice design. It is also very simple to use. The most I've done is tweak some settings to my liking.

This would be 1.4. However the device supplying the content must be 1.4 as well, or it would default to the lower spec of the output device.

Would you recommend this monitor for the Xbox one ...

Would you recommend this monitor for the Xbox one x over the lg uk650 or Samsung CHG70. I will also be getting a pc in the future so the 60hz on the uk650 makes me nervous I will regret it. But I will mostly be using it for my Xbox one x. I’m having a difficult time deciding
Asked by: Luca
I would immediately remove the uk650 from consideration. Once you see 60 on a PC, you will realize what you could've missed. Furthermore, even at low frame rates, the decreased motion blur of either this LG or the CHG70 I feel also outweighs the 4k advantage, particularly at 27" (on your Xbox, 4k downsampled to 2k will still look very sharp). The remaining choice is a bit tougher, but unless you'd really like a bigger display (the Samsung's 32" variant), then I would go for the GL850. The Samsung has somewhat better HDR, but none of these are good for that, and while we can't tell for sure yet, I strongly suspect the LG will have better overall picture quality. Also, I feel the Samsung being curved is not ideal at 27" (and perhaps, even at 32").
