Watson Pro Dual Position Li-Ion Simultaneous Battery Charger (Gold Mount)

This Watson Pro Dual Position Li-Ion Charger supports two Gold mount batteries and offers a 4-pin XLR power output, providing dual-purpose functionality in a portable, handy design. It's capable of simultaneous charging, and the XLR port offers useful versatility. An ergonomic carry handle, flip-out kickstand, rubberized feet, On/Off switch, and LED status indicators complete the design and allow for comfortable and efficient operation.

This charger delivers simultaneous charging at 2.5A per channel, and provides 5A when charging a single battery. The 4-pin XLR power output can be used to power select cameras from an AC outlet or off of connected batteries. A special feature of this charger is that when it's connected to a power outlet, it is capable of charging the batteries and providing power through the XLR output at the same time, as opposed to one or the other as is more common.

Additionally, an XLR cable is included, giving you everything you need to make full use of this charger. The charger supports 100-240 VAC power input, so it can be used worldwide with the right plug adapters (sold separately).

Watson Pro 14.4V 158Wh Slim Li-Ion Battery (Gold Mount)

The Watson Pro 14.4V 158Wh Slim Li-Ion Battery, in a Gold mount, provides up to a 12A draw, enough to power the most demanding cameras, lights, and studio setups. It also features a 12V, 10A D-Tap output for powering monitors, transmitters, and other gear and accessories simultaneously with your main load.

The 158Wh capacity provides approximately 4 hours of runtime for a load of 35W. A 5-LED gauge on the side indicates remaining battery life at the press of a button below the LEDs. When capacity drops under 9%, the bottom LED automatically begins blinking as a warning. For safety, built-in intelligent circuitry shuts down the battery in case of high current, low voltage, extreme temperatures, or possible short circuits, protecting both your battery and gear.

All this is offered in a relatively slim design with ergonomic grips on the sides that allow for more comfortable handling. The AM-160-SE is rechargeable using any Watson Pro Gold mount charger.

Watson Pro 14.4V Reviews

I captured nearly all day long

I began capturing at about 12:30p and ended at 6:30p. This battery not obit captured 45 minutes of a documentary-styled interview for an Austin Real Estate client but it also powered my edelkrone HeadPlus, the focus and the slider from about 1p until 6:30p. No stress. Just took my time to capture and got all the shots I needed.

Order a new battery and what i received appeared to clearly be a used battery had scratches on the LCD and the battery case. Also battery arrived completely drained when connected to a d-tap charger all battery displays went dark no way to tell charge status. After checking that the did how 100% charge connected to camera via d-tap port for 5 mins and charged old cell phone for 10 mins to check USB ports battery now showed 50% charge. Applied for a return Would not buy again had to give it one star to publish review

Can this be charged through USB-C while still outputting from the d-tap?
Asked by: Kevin
While that may be possible, we simply do not recommend that. This is not meant to substitute for an AC Power Supply which is essentially what such a work flow would be.
