Tilta UBP Overview

Designed to power your camera and accessories, the Universal Battery Plate from Tilta provides you a way to power your camera and onboard accessories from a single Gold mount battery. The battery plate attaches to your camera cage or 15mm rail system.

The plate passes through your battery's power to four 14.8V D-Tap outputs, one 14.8V 2-pin LEMO-type output, and one 14.8V 3-pin Fischer output. The plate also features one BNC SDI input and two BNC SDI outputs. The plate attaches to your camera, cage, or rig using the included 15mm LWS adapter and clamp.

The Plate Itself Is One Of A Kind. Pretty Much The Only Battery Plate For The FX6 Out There That Also Has A Built In DA. Thats Where The Problems Arise. The Pins In The SDI Ports Themselves Will Routinely Break And Are Not Durable At All, Which Is A Shame. The Rest Of The Plate Is Typical Great Tilta Build Quality, Which Makes The Lousy SDI Ports All The More Disappointing. I Wish They Would Fix It! The Plate Itself Will Also Drain Your Battery Even If The Camera Is Off So Be Aware Of That As Well.

I wasn’t expecting the best build quality but this thing is solid. Comparable to a D-box. Only complaint is that it does not fit my Anton Bauer Digi 90’s. Bummer.

What type of screws would I need if I wanna attach it to a cheese plate?

The plate has 1/4"-20 threaded holes, which are compatible with most cheeseplates when using 1/4"-20 screws.

It will not be possible to run this unit through AC power through a house hold plug. The Tilta Universal Battery Plate will only be able to distribute power from a Gold Mount battery source.
