The head strap works in one simple function: holding the action camera at (a little above) your forehead. There are no frills or other ways to use the strap. The drawback, which is probably the same for other, more expensive, head mounts, is that the camera is too heavy and sits too high for the setup to feel stable. It is a problem inherent in the mount. A more stable solution would include a way to mount the camera by an attachment point directly behind the camera, within its center of gravity, not beneath it. It would be nice if there were other places for kinds of attachments on these head mounts in general. For example, a 1/4 20 attachment area so a microphone, or other accessory(ies), can be attached. As far as the stability, maybe a chin strap too?
Not much to say besides it's adjustable and works as you'd expect. I expect many years of use based on the material its made of.
