Obviously it is made of aluminum, which is stated and expected. The problem is that the threaded holes were cut too close to the edge and ended up cutting through the wall of the mount. This could lead to it breaking prematurely. Another issue I had is that one on the set screws was cross threaded in the box. I didn't realize this until I noticed it was never locking the other screw in place. The location of the holes could have been spread out a bit more to help balance the scope. I could see the mount being knocked out of place easily with the current design. All that said, it is doing what is says it does. I have not shot much with it and can't speak for its durability yet.
These mounts are good for the 92 so long as you use a light weight scope / red dot sight.
