The T CINE Speed Booster ULTRA 0.71x Adapter for Canon EF Lens to BMPCC 4K from Metabones allows a full-frame Canon EF-mount lens to be mounted onto a Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K MFT-mount camera. While doing so, the adapter's optics help to maximize the connected lens's apparent angle of view while providing a 1-stop increase for the camera over the lens's aperture range. This 0.71x adapter features Cinema EOS lens support for auto iris and servo zoom, and it also includes AF (autofocus) support which requires external 5V power via the micro-USB port. It also features a positive-lock mechanism for EF lenses.

Are DZO Pictor Zoom lenses compatible with this speed booster? We have this speed booster and the lenses and they seem not to be compatible. It does not lock or engage with the lens' EF Mount whatsoever.

The DZO Pictor Zoom Lens should work with this adapter as long as the EF mount is properly installed on the lens.

How does the math work for focal lengths? An 11mm lens becomes an equivalent __mm lens? an 18mm becomes a __mm? What’s the crop factor multiplier for this speed booster?

This is a 0.71x Speedbooster. You would take the focal length of the lens you are using and times it by that, then times it by the crop factor of the camera. The Pocket 4K is 1.9x Crop factor so for an 11mm is it 11 x 0.71 = 7.81 x 1.9 = 14.83.

@Nicholas it simply does not lock. It doesn't engage with the lens' EF Mount whatsoever.

Yes it works with that confirmation perfectly. It’s only the 16mm that’ll have some vignette on full frame 4K

This is specifically for the Pocket 4K. It is designed specifically for that camera. Z Cam actually offers an EF mount that is a Turbo Mount, 0.71x Field of View Increase, for the E2-M4. You would want this instead for that camera. https://bhpho.to/329i5md

I know vignetting was an issue on the do when using aps-c lenses. Does the ultra fix that?

When using EF mount lenses (which can be Full-Frame or APS-C format) on a MFT sensor, it will not vignette since the lenses image circle is larger than the MFT sensor. The Ultra helps compensating that difference so that more of the image is on the sensor instead of falling outside the sensor.
