The Monoball X-Table System Classic by Arca-Swiss is a geared optical bench designed for macro photography. In addition to the fine adjustment in the longitudinal plane, the Y-axis of the X-tables can also be adjusted transversely by means of a fine drive. This quickset can be rotated 90° depending on how the camera plate is attached to the camera. The MonoballFix quick set device base for the camera plate is located between the "MonoballFix" function carrier and the respective quick sets to prevent them from rotating. This allows the quick sets to be safely rotated in 90° mode, locked in place, and screwed tight. In addition to fine focusing in the longitudinal plane, the cross stage or cross slide can be adjusted in the transverse plane via the fine drive. One turn of the fine adjustment knobs moves a carriage body forward by 19mm.
