DigitalFoto Solution Limited Top Handle Reviews
Works for My Specific Needs
Needed something quick to be able to mount multiple accessories to my A7siiis that were on tripods. Mounted my monitor on the top and put a shotgun mic and DJI mic receiver using the cold shoes on either side. They're well built, compact, and have plenty of mounting points for cold shoes, so you have some good options to build a rig to your liking. However I personally wouldn't recommend going handheld with this product and holding your entire rig by this handle, despite this being the intended use case. If you make it too heavy with accessories on top, this will put a lot of stress on your camera's hot shoe components. I prefer Smallrig's camera cages where the handle will mount to the top of the cage for extra security. But for run and gun shoots where your camera is on a tripod this is a great option for mounting things to it.
Feels and works great, but hard to mount some things to
This is the best feeling piece of metal I have ever held. The attachment to cold Shue is great. The other cold Shue mounts also work well. However, you can only mount male screws to the handle. You can not put female gear on this. I was unable to mount an aperture MC without a cold Shue to male screw.
